Ohio Police Avoid Liability
In
1985 the Ohio General Assembly adopted an immunity
law that stated police officers would have "full
immunity when they are responding to dangerous, urgent or
emergency calls, even when an officer is negligent."

avoided liability in cases in which it is questionable
that the officers were on "urgent or emergency"
calls.
